After a great deal of reflection, I have decided to step down from my campaign for Congress. Over the past months, I’ve had the privilege of representing workers in several cases including a significant trial result against powerful corporate interests—work that reaffirmed why I became a lawyer in the first place. At the same time, I’ve come to recognize that being away from my young family, combined with an increasing workload, is not something I can balance with running a successful campaign. With that said, it has become clear that I cannot give this campaign the time, energy, and focus it truly deserves.
But I am not stepping away from the fight. When I visited communities across the district I talked about my dedication to service. This election continues to be incredibly important to me, and I plan to continue doing everything I can to help deliver a win in November. On the campaign trail, I had the opportunity to get to know Trina Swanson, and I have a great deal of respect for her and her campaign. I am proud to formally endorse Trina Swanson for Congress and look forward to doing everything I can to help her unseat Pete Stauber in November!
